Born in the Philippines, Guro Zack began his martial journey early — earning a brown belt in the Japan Karatedo Association and training arnis and Malayan Kung Fu as part of his college education. The blade was always close.
Moved to Vancouver, BC. Immersed in boxing and Muay Thai, then found Kali under Guro Louie Lindo — beginning a lineage journey that would define the next three decades.
Deep study of Pekiti-Tirsia System of Kali under Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje — through seminars across North America and repeated training trips to the Philippines. Fought and taught at the PTK Salcedo club in Manila. Simultaneously trained Pencak Silat across two lineages: Cimande and Gadjah Putih.
Holds the rank of Mandala Mandatus, 1st Hagdan — one of the highest ranks in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. Teaches weekly in Vancouver, runs free Saturday sessions open to the world, produces instructional video content, and hosts seminars for schools and clubs across the continent.
